Service Terms for Event, Light and Laser Design
These general service terms apply to lighting design, laser design, show programming, operating, pre-production, technical planning and event-related production support unless a written project agreement states otherwise. Written offers, production agreements, riders and show-specific safety documents take precedence over this general information.
Scope and bookingProject scope is agreed in writing and may include creative lighting design, laser show design, fixture and console programming, show operation, cueing, previsualization, technical drawings, patch planning, setup support, rehearsals and show-day operation.
Organizer and venue dutiesThe organizer or venue provides correct schedules, stage plans, rigging information, power distribution, access times, local contacts, safety rules, permits and technical infrastructure. Delays or missing information can affect programming time, show quality and feasible scope.
Safety and approvalsLaser, lighting, haze, flame, special effects and rigging-related work must comply with applicable laws, venue rules and authority requirements. Required approvals, audience safety distances, emergency procedures and responsible on-site safety roles must be clarified before operation.
Creative changesLighting looks, cue timing, laser scenes, intensity, color, show rhythm and fixture use are developed around the room, music, stage and audience. Late artistic or technical changes are possible where time and production conditions allow, but may require additional programming or rehearsal time.
Equipment and suppliersRental equipment, truss, motors, power, networks, media servers, consoles, lasers, fixtures, haze machines and local crew may be supplied by third parties. Their condition, availability, setup quality and compliance remain the responsibility of the respective provider unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
Show files and programmingProgramming files, cue stacks, timecode work, fixture profiles, laser content and show documentation are project-related working materials. Delivery of editable source files, reuse rights or long-term archiving is only included when agreed in writing.
Operation and interruptionsOperation can be paused or adjusted if there is a safety concern, technical fault, weather risk, unsafe crowd situation, missing approval or instruction from the venue, organizer, authority or safety officer. Safety takes priority over show continuity.
Outdoor events and force majeureWeather, wind, rain, temperature, dust, fog, pyrotechnics, power issues, network failures, venue restrictions, authority decisions, illness, transport disruptions or other circumstances outside reasonable control can limit or prevent delivery. Reasonable mitigation will be coordinated with production.
Payment and cancellationFees, travel, accommodation, per diems, rehearsal days, night work, standby time, overtime and cancellation terms are agreed per project. Dates are reserved only after written confirmation and, where applicable, deposit or purchase order.
Liability and lawLiability follows mandatory Austrian law and the individual agreement. Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, liability for indirect damage, lost profit or consequential damage is excluded. Austrian law applies where legally permissible.
